Culture et identité nationales dans un monde globalisé
Abstract
The topic of this article is the interaction of ideologies, cultures, and national identities in the individual’s identitarian formation in contemporary societies. The concepts of both individual and national identity are presented according to changes in the perception of individuality and collectivity, identity and alterity, together with the diacronic perception of nation and culture. In the second part of the text, different theories about the transmission of culture are presented together with their influence on national identity. The third part deals with three instances of cultural and identity reproduction: the novel, the national museum and the media.
