Valeria Wagner teaches at the Hispanic studies department and in the Comparative literature and Gender studies programs at the University of Geneva, where she obtained a Phd in English literature. Her current research focuses on devices and strategies of value conversion in colonial Hispanic literature and contemporary literatures of migration. She also works on the related genres of the literary chronicle, the documentary and the video essay, and is more generally interested in the articulation of literary forms and political imaginaries. She is author of two monographies, has co-edited several books and has published many articles in journals and book chapters.
