Biography

Pedro Ruiz Torres is Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Valencia. Estudi General, of which he was President between 1994 and 2002. Corresponding academic in Valencia of the Royal Academy of History and author of Volume 5 of the History of Spain, titled Reformismo e Ilustración, he is also authored numerous books and articles; among them, Nacionalismo e Historia, The Political Uses of the Past and La Ilustración y las ciencias.
