Biography
Luis Veres holds a PhD in Spanish Language and Literature. He has been a visiting scholar at numerous international universities in Peru, Polland, Austria, France, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, United Kingdom, Chile and Portugal. He is currently working as a lecturer in Media Studies at the University of Valencia. He has written several novels, such as El hombre que tuvo una ciudad (1998), El cielo de cemento (2000) and La casa del fin del mundo (2013), and essays such as La narrativa del indio en la revista Amauta(2001), Periodismo y literatura de vanguardia en América Latina (2003) La retórica del terror. Sobre lenguaje, terrorismo y medios de comunicación (2006) and Los reyes y el laberinto. Sobre Borges, Lugones y otros autores (2007). He has also co-edited the following books: Literatura e imaginarios sociales (2003), Estrategias de la desinformación (2004) y Entre la Cruz y la Media Luna (2007), and has obtained the Vicente Blasco Ibáñez (1998) and the Juan Gil-Albert (2002) literary awards.
