Biography
Louis Godart is doctor in philosophy and humanities of the Free University Brussels and « State doctor » (Docteur d’État) in humanities and social sciences of Paris La Sorbonne. Professor of the Aegean Civilisations in the University of Naples between 1973 and 2002, he has been since 2002 Advisor of the President of the Italian Republic for the preservation of the artistic heritage. He wrote 72 books and more than 300 articles on the Mediterranean civilisations, namely those of the Aegean Sea during the Bronze Age, as well as on Europe, on the Italian artistic heritage, the history of the Quirinal, the human rights.
