Josep Miquel Ramis

Biography

Josep Miquel Ramis holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona (2004) and a PhD in Translation Studies from the same University (2011). He has been member of different research groups in Literary Translation and Reception, and he has completed some research stays in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, the Université Paris IV-Sorbonne and the ENST Bretagne. He focuses his research interests on Literary Translation and Reception, and especially on Self-translation. At present, he is assistant lecturer at the Facultat de Traducció i Ciències del Llenguatge of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and free-lance translator and editor/proof-reader.
