Biography

Jorge Sala holds a PhD in Art History and Theory from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He is a senior professor of Global Film History at the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras (UBA) and of Curatorial Studies at the Universidad de las Artes (UBA). He is an Assistant Researcher at CONICET (Argentina) with a project focused on the connections between film and theatre during Argentina’s transition to democracy. His research interests are centered on intermediality and interartistical relation in Argentina and Latin America. He is the author of Escenas de ruptura: Relaciones entre el cine y el teatro argentinos de los años sesenta (2020, Universidad Nacional de Quilmes) and co-author of Una historia del cine político y social en argentina (2009 y 2011, Nueva Librería) and Pantallas transnacionales.
