Jesús Albarrán Ligero holds a Degree in Journalism, a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing from the University of Seville, he is a doctoral student in the Inter-University Doctorate in Communication (research line in Literature, Communication, Ethics and Aesthetics) and member of the Research Group in Communication Theory and Technology at the University of Seville. Founding member of the Vratia Varusho stage-poetic group that developed its activity in Seville during the years 2011-2012, he has recently been awarded the first prize Sevilla Crea 2019 in the Literature category and second prize in the Musical Creation category. He has written A Boy Walking a book about Dylan and the Folk Revival of the Sixties pending publication. He has been included in the Anthology of young poets from Huelva Luz Nueva del Suroeste (2015, Ed. En Huida), the anthology of poets Burros Verdes 2016 and in the anthology of short stories La Resistencia de los Linces (2016, Tranvía). He has written as a film, literature and music critic in the digital cultural magazines Mayhem Magazine, Under Magazine, and in the poetic magazine Aullido. He is currently studying the implications between music and poetry, as well as new narratives and videogames.
