Jenaro Talens is Professor Emeritus of Hispanic and Comparative Literatures and European Studies at the University of Geneva and of Audiovisual Communication at the University of Valencia. He is the author of an extensive poetic work translated into more than fifteen languages, of twenty books on Music, Semiotics, Literary and Film Theory, and has translated authors such as Petrarch, Shakespeare, Goethe, Hölderlin, Trakl, Rilke, Brecht, Beckett, Basho, Júdice, Heaney, Walcott or Zach, among others.
