Biography
Irene Gil graduated in Audiovisual Communication at the University of Valencia and has directed her interest in the fields of documentation and preservation of new technologies. Master in History, Management and Recovery of Audiovisual Heritage from the Complutense University of Madrid, she specialized in Management and Preservation of Electronic Documents also at the UV. She has combined her work as an audiovisual documentalist for television with her research interests, collaborating in the essay Ideological Games: Videojuegos e Ideología (Héroes de Papel, 2020) and in the Retrópolis conference, focused on classic videogames, among other initiatives, held in Valencia. Currently, she continues her academic work with a Training and Research grant for the Technical Process of Audiovisual Materials at the National Library of Spain.
