Dieter Ingenschay

Biography

Dieter Ingenschay is Full Professor of Hispanic Literatures at the Humboldt University, Berlin, member of the Transdisciplinary Center for Gender Studies, and of “Georg Simmel” Center for research on Metropolis and co-initiator od the German-Mexican Doctoral School “Entre Espacios”. Visiting Professor in several US universities (Cornell-University, Dartmouth College), latino-Americans and Complutense University of Madrid. Former President of the German Association of Hispanists, (co)-editor of the JOurnal Iberoromania and other series. His principal fields of research are: Postmodern and Postdictatorship Hispanic Literatures; Metropolis and Literature; Gender Studies/Masculinity/Gay Studies.
