Diana Marcela Rodríguez Clavijo (Colombia) holds a PhD in Communication and a Master’s Degree in Gender and Equality Policies from the University of Valencia (Spain), a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Social Research from the Francisco José de Caldas District University (Colombia) and a degree in Psychology and Pedagogy from the National Pedagogical University (Colombia). Her academic works focus mainly on the field of critical discourse analysis, gender studies and social representations, with an interdisciplinary approach. Her present research focuses on the role of intellectuals in contemporaneity and on the relationship between television discourse, memory and the construction of reality. She has worked in various institutions in Colombia on issues related to education, women, armed conflict and the construction of peace, the most recent of them being the Centro de Investigación y Educación Popular Programa Por la Paz (CINEP/PPP).
