Christina Kkona

Biography

Christina Kkona, MA and PhD with Highest Distinction from Paris 7 University under the guidance of Julia Kristeva, is a literary theorist, cultural critic and philosopher whose work is marked by psychoanalytic and semiotic thought and concerned with gender studies. She was an Assistant Professor in World Literature and Literary Theory at the Hellenic American University of Athens from 2008 to 2015. A Proust specialist, she is now working on a major interdisciplinary research project on “The Unexpected”. Her conference papers and publications deal with Proust, Virginia Woolf, George Sand, film studies and Comparative Literature.
