Annick Allaigre is Full Professor of Contemporary Spanish Literature and Research Director in the Romanic Studies Laboratory (EA 4385) of the University Paris 8 Vincennes- Saint-Denis. Her main field of research focuses on 20th century poetry. She has been specializing for the last 20 years on the Valencian poet Juan Gil-Albert‘s works, examining poetic prose, the links between poetry and philosophy, literature and history and critical writing. She translated his essay Heraclés, sobre una manera de ser into French, published as Le style homosexuel en Espagne sous Franco (Paris, EPEL, 2008). She also co-edited a book on this precise work: Afinidades electivas: El poeta-isla y las poéticas homoeróticas (Alicante, Instituto Alicantino de Cultura Juan Gil-Albert, 2014).
